Bayeux Tapestry arrives in London: Artwork back on English soil after almost 1,000 years

The Bayeux Tapestry is back in England for the first time since it was believed to have been created there nearly a thousand years ago. It’s on loan from France and will be on display at the British Museum in London from September. The gesture is about more than just borrowing an artwork—it’s seen as an example of diplomacy.
